JORD Watches

Unique Timepiece for Summer | JORD Wooden Watch

Being interested in fashion and design, I’ve always had a bit of a thing for textures. Designs themselves are of course where people place the most importance, but sometimes the power of material can be overlooked. When it comes to style I really enjoy experimenting with different fabrics and love how knitted wool connotes feelings of Autumn while white linen is linked to warmer climates or British Summer. Similarly, I adore combining different metals to create unique and interesting jewellery looks.

Although I tend to sway towards quite subtle and classic jewellery, as soon as I was introduced to the concept of wooden watches I was completely intrigued and knew that I’d love to own one. JORD specialises in wooden watches and kindly offered to send me a timepiece of my own choosing. Of course, I opted for one which I thought was super versatile and which I’d be able to get a lot of use out of; Ebony and Sable from the CASSIA series.

JORD Watches

The watch was delivered surprisingly quickly considering its rather lengthy journey from the US. The only slight glitch was the necessity of my payment of a £16 import tax, which I was able to go online and pay via the Royal Mail website so that they could re-attempt delivery. I’ve had it a couple of weeks now, and have already gotten so much wear out of it. It goes with almost everything in my wardrobe and looks particularly striking with my black and white dress that I got from Zara last year. JORD watches are absolutely perfect for Summer because the lack of metal makes them so much more comfortable to wear when it’s sunny!

  1. I’ve seen a few different Jord watches now but this one is by far my favourite. I love the idea of a wooden watch as something a little different. This is the first black one I’ve seen though and it’s so much more versatile. My everyday watch is black and I couldn’t imagine wearing another colour now x

  4. I’ve never heard of a wooden watch before but this looks lovely. Very elegant and not at all clunky. I’m intrigued now, I’ll be heading over to Jord’s website for a good browse before I enter the competition! X

  5. I love how rich these Jord watches look! I haven’t seen wooden watches until recently and they look really nice. Though, I’d be a bit wary about it touching a small splash of water. Glad you had a good experience with Jord watches!

    1. They’re so unique aren’t they! Yeah they’re definitely not water suitable, but I tend to just wear mine as an accessory on city days out or at work so its not really an issue for me! x

  6. The design of this watch is stunning! A great piece will make an outfit all the better, which clearly suits you so well! However I’m cursed when it comes to watches! I can’t go more than a few weeks without watches stopping on me…. I don’t know why! It’s not like I’m throwing it across the room every day lol so weird. But beautiful watch!
